Read This If You Feel Like a Lost Soul
Dear Evolving Reader,
Growing up, my little mind had such huge questions, I found myself wondering why some people could seemingly have everything they had ever wanted and still not feel truly happy. Why could someone achieve success, build an incredible career, create wealth or have the life everyone else admired, yet still feel deeply unfulfilled?
I became particularly aware of this when I would see people reaching incredibly dark places, sometimes turning to addiction or even taking their own lives, despite having achieved what many would consider success. It made me question what we were missing. What does it actually take to create a life that feels fulfilling, meaningful and purposeful, rather than simply successful from the outside?
Over time, I came to understand that fulfilment isn't created through external achievement alone. There has to be a connection to something greater than yourself, and a deep connection to yourself, for the two to meet. Because when we are connected internally, that begins to influence everything we create externally.
There are moments in life when you can look around and think, “How did I get here?” It can happen after a relationship breaks down, or after you finally build the business, career, financial freedom or life you once dreamed of, only to realise you don't feel fulfilled by it. On paper, everything may look right, yet something inside you feels wrong. You feel disconnected, uninspired, perhaps even lost.
In these moments, we often reach for words like “broken,” “lost,” or even “tortured soul.” But what if you aren't lost at all? What if your soul cannot break? The soul is divine energy. It doesn't break, and it doesn't disappear.
What can become untamed is the mind. An untamed mind can create so much noise that it takes you away from the truth of who you are, creating the experience of feeling lost.
Your soul is constantly communicating with you, drawing you towards the experiences, relationships, environments and expressions aligned with who you came here to become. The problem is that the soul speaks in whispers in a very loud world. Fear is loud, old conditioning is loud, other people's opinions are loud. Therefore, if you don't learn to recognise those voices, they can begin making decisions for you.
You choose the relationship because you're afraid of being alone. You stay in the career because you're afraid of failing. You don't say what you really think because you're afraid of rejection. You don't pursue the thing that keeps calling you because you're afraid of what it might require you to become.
Slowly, almost imperceptibly, you move further away from yourself. Until one day you wake up and think, “How did I get here?” This can be particularly confronting when you've already achieved so much. When you've built the business, created the wealth, established the career or created the relationship you thought would fulfil you, admitting that something still feels missing can feel like failure.
It is not failure; it is information.
Our soul carries an immense amount of divine intelligence. When we're repeatedly moving in a direction that isn't serving our greatest good, we can feel depleted, uninspired and disconnected from joy. Not necessarily because we're doing too much, but because we're spending our energy fighting ourselves.
This is why alignment doesn't necessarily mean your life becomes easy. You can still experience fear, uncertainty, rejection and difficulty. The difference is that there is energy behind what you're doing. You feel more alive. You expand. You feel like yourself. Alignment means your life starts giving something back to you.
This is why the breakdowns in our lives can become such powerful turning points. These experiences can feel like everything is falling apart. But what if what is falling apart is simply the version of your life that can no longer contain who you are becoming? What if it's not you being lost? What if it's you being called back?
This is where the inner work matters. You must become conscious enough to recognise when fear is making your decisions, when conditioning is speaking louder than intuition, and when you're choosing what is familiar over what is true.
This is at the heart of the work we do inside Samara Universe. It's not simply about helping you create more on top of the life you've already built. It's about understanding what is actually driving the life you're living, becoming conscious of the patterns keeping you disconnected from yourself, and learning to hear the deeper intelligence that has been guiding you all along.
The soul doesn't need to be found. It needs to be listened to. Sometimes what we call “being lost” is simply the discomfort of being pulled back towards a life that requires us to become someone our old identity is afraid to be. Maybe you haven't lost yourself. Maybe you've just been listening to the wrong voice. And maybe that feeling that something is missing isn't evidence that you're broken. It's your soul reminding you: this isn't it. This path isn't serving you. Come back.
Your soul knows the direction. The question is whether your mind is disciplined enough to follow it.
